Saturday December 7 will be another hot one at the Texas Club Bar and Grill. Austin powerhouses Cinco Doce and Los A-T Boyz will heat things up at the southeast Austin Tejano nightspot with hot cumbias, spicy charangas and much more.
Los A-T Boyz, driven by la familia Rodriguez, began a couple of decades ago as Alma Tejana. Later adopting the A-T Boyz moniker, brothers Raphael (saxophone) and Paquito Rodriguez (accordion) masterfully work the stage along with their father Paco Rodriguez on bajo sexto and brother Fernando on drums and percussion. Rounding out the lineup are Raymond Garza (keys and accordion), Adam Garza (bass), Omar Acuna (congas), and Chris Rivera (harmony vocals). Their sound draws from almost every genre, allowing their creative spirit and radiant energy to shine through during every performance and on every recording. Almost everyone sings, and they all love to perform.
Cinco Doce will also be taking the stage. The group has made its mark in recent years with a trademark sound heavily influenced by Tejano and Rock, as well as other rhythmic genres like Bachata, Reggaeton, and Hip-Hop. Their great stage show, unique sound, and hip, urban-inspired image, have gained them a loyal following, particularly among younger listeners. Recently, the group was featured onMTV Tr3s, winning "El Headliner" for September 2012.
Long story short: Dance, dance, dance! Great stage shows and super high energy from both groups and their dedicated fans. Be on the lookout for special guests too!
